"O Come, O Come Emmanuel": Biblical Reflections on the "O" Antiphons

The "O" Antiphons are ancient chants sung or recited at the beginning and end of the Magnificat during Evening Prayer on the last seven days of Advent.

After the Second Vatican Council, they were introduced into the Liturgy of the Word as the Gospel Acclamation during Mass. Participants will be offered a series of reflections on the Antiphons and the Old Testament prophecies of Jesus’ birth.
