Bringing the Gospel of Matthew to Life

Painting of St Matthew by Rembrandt

This short course/workshop aims to give participants an understanding of the meaning of Matthew’s Gospel for those for whom it was originally written as well as how it is meaningful for our lives today.

“Every scribe who has been instructed in the kingdom of heaven is like the head of a household who brings from his storeroom both the new and the old” (Mt 13:52). All of us have a storeroom that we can draw upon to help others, a treasury of what we have received from Jesus and are able to pass on. This short course/workshop introduces participants to the Evangelist and his Gospel, the key concepts and themes that develop as the Gospel unfolds and prompts reflection on how it is meaningful for our lives today.
