Bringing the Gospel of Luke to Life
This short course aims to give participants an understanding of the meaning of Luke’s Gospel for those for whom it was originally written as well as how it is meaningful for our lives today.
“Were not our hearts burning within us while he spoke to us on the way and opened the scriptures to us?” (Lk 24:32). It is hoped that this short course will open the Gospel of Luke to participants to enable them to deepen their understanding of its meaning, significance and message. Dante described Luke as “the scribe of the gentleness of Christ.” Luke can be a gracious and stimulating companion as we seek to uncover both the theological and literary beauty of his Gospel for those for whom it was originally written as well as for our lives today.
