As science and technology make progress, they raise questions about how these developments fit in with the theological understanding of the world.

In areas like whether humans are unique, what consciousness is and whether it is present in other living beings, what free will means, whether artificial intelligence is the same as human intelligence – could it become conscious; could it know God? As God is the creator of everything, these discoveries must somehow fit in with what we understand is God’s plan for the universe.
