Lunchtime Lectio - Pause and Ponder
“When your words came I devoured them: your word was my delight and the joy of my heart” (Jeremiah 15:16)
‘Lectio Divina’, or sacred reading, is an ancient yet ever fresh way of praying the Scriptures by silently pondering and savouring the Word that is Life.
Each session stands alone and offers the space and quiet time to pray in this way.
A different Scripture passage, or work of poetry, will be offered at each session. You only need to bring with you a heart open to the promptings of the Spirit and to the Word of God that is alive and active (Heb 4:12).
Then allow the Word you encounter in your lunch break to nourish you throughout the rest of your day….
“The unfolding of your word gives light” (Ps 118(119):130)
