Lent Retreat In Daily Life
What is a Retreat in Daily Life? Is it for me?
It is a retreat that takes place as you continue with your everyday life.
An opportunity to become more aware of God in your day to day life and in your prayer. Whether you find it difficult to pray; can never find time for prayer; are not sure what prayer is; would like to discover more about different ways of praying; or would like to deepen your prayer, this retreat is for you.
How Does it Work?
You will be given your own prayer guide, trained in Ignatian Spirituality, who you can meet at a day and time of your choice, for up to half an hour once a week for the five weeks of Lent. Within this time you are invited to share something of your awareness, or lack of awareness, of God in your life. And in response to your sharing you will be offered some prayer material specifically for you and invited to pray for up to half an hour a day.
How Do I Begin?
The retreat begins on Saturday 17th February at 7pm, with a gathering of all those involved including the prayer guides. You will meet your guide and arrange the specific time and room to meet each week.
The retreat will end with a gathering of everyone on Saturday 24th March 7pm.
