Contemplative Photography - A New Way of Seeing
Please note: This one day workshop has replaced the two half-days as previously advertised, there will NOT be a 11am-2pm workshop on Saturday 20th July.
Contemplative photography is a great way to connect with yourself and with God. It involves mindfulness and learning a new way of seeing. The images you receive in this way can enrich your prayer life and bring you healing.
This workshop will:
- Show you how to develop a contemplative approach to your photography
- Give you the opportunity to practice taking contemplative photos
- Teach you how to pray with an image.
The day will include a contemplative walk, guided prayer session and the opportunity to share what you have discovered with other participants.
Equipment to bring: Smart phone or camera of any description (point and shoot is fine).
This workshop is suitable for photographers at all levels as the focus is on the content of your images rather than the technical or artistic quality. The only requirement is to be able to operate the camera that you bring with you. Cameras can be used in fully automatic or point and shoot mode.
Please note that this workshop does not cover traditional photography skills or how to operate your camera.
