6-day Retreat, Minsteracres, Co. Durham

Friday 04 - Friday 11 Sep 2020 (3:00pm - 10:00am)
Published on 17 Feb 2020

A collaboration of the ISC with the Passionists in the North-East of England.

The ISC will provide retreat givers.  This is a silent, individually guided retreat in the Ignatian tradition.

Minsteracres is a country mansion in the rolling hills of Co. Durham.  The house has extensive grounds with a lake, a peace garden, a walled garden, forests and some spectacular 200 year old Canadian Redwoods lining the driveway. Those on retreat are invited to enjoy the apples, pears, peaches and plums that should be coming to fruit in the grounds when we are on retreat.

Accommodation is on a full-board basis.  The food is good and varied with many of the vegetables being grown in the garden.

Within the house there are a number of lounges, a grand Victorian parlour, a ballroom, a small church and a large chapel as well as an art room.
